Originally I had intended to scratch-build the harness for my supra myself, and get my solder-on, but as I was searching for a good connector source, I stumbled across the guys over at Tweak’d Performance. They quickly figured out what I was up to and simply asked “Well would you rather have us build it?”. Initially, i wasn’t so keen on this, but after a quick back and forth, it became apparent that it was actually cheaper to have it done by experts instead of my bumbling self. Well the fruit of their labor was dropped on my front porch today, and boy oh boy am I impressed. These guys are class acts, and while I hope I stay this impressed when I go to start the car, it looks good so far.
So I picked up the V-Wagon thursday night and promptly sat in traffic with it, not really giving me much time to sample all of the various experiences it has to offer, however following that, this weekend we took it on a short road trip to San Diego (or the Whales Vagina) to have dinner with a friend down there. This is just a rough account of the various thoughts that crossed my mind on this journey.
Hello again dear reader(s?), today I would like to address one of my biggest pet peeves about car punditry in general, the displacement argument. I know everyone has their favorite engine, and their favorite maker, and it is over these loyalties lines have been drawn in the sand and decades long rivalries have been born, Ford vs Chevy, Import vs Domestic, Boost vs Displacement etc. I would like to stand up and say, you’re all wrong. No wait hear me out…
